Permanent Jewelry Policy

Bring the Modeco experience to your home, office, or event.
I’ll set up on-site with everything needed for a seamless permanent jewelry experience — including a selection of sterling silver and gold-fill bracelets and anklets, plus optional charms available for an additional fee (selection varies by event).

Group Size & Booking

  • A minimum purchase of 4 bracelets ($220) is required per event.
    • If your group is smaller than 4, you can reach the minimum spend by purchasing additional pieces.
  • A non-refundable $50 booking fee is due upon booking to reserve your date — this covers setup, prep, and travel coordination.
  • The $220 minimum purchase is due 7 days prior to your scheduled event.
    • This payment is subject to the cancellation and refund policy below.
  • Any additional purchases (extra guests, charms, chain upgrades or multiple pieces per person) will be collected at the time of service.
  • Each bracelet or anklet takes approximately 10–15 minutes to apply, depending on the chain and charm selection.

Location & Setup

  • I currently travel to homes and venues in Portland OR, Vancouver WA, and surrounding areas.
  • A travel fee may apply for locations outside a 25-mile radius of downtown Portland.
  • Please provide a sturdy table or countertop with seating for 2–3 people at a time.
  • I bring all necessary lighting and equipment.
  • Please allow 30 minutes before and after for setup and takedown.

Safety & Age Requirements

  • Permanent jewelry involves a micro-welding process that safely joins the chain without heat near the skin.
  • I service clients ages 5 and up, with adult consent and supervision for minors.
  • Young children must be able to sit still for the short duration of the welding process.
  • All participants must follow instructions during the process to ensure safety and comfort.

Liability & Health Considerations

  • By booking, the host and all participants acknowledge that they participate at their own risk and agree to follow all safety directions.
  • Permanent jewelry uses a low-voltage electrical pulse to create the weld — it results in a small, safe spark when performed correctly.
  • Guests with pacemakers or other medical implants should consult their physician before participating.
  • The host and participants accept full responsibility for any property damage or personal injury that may occur during setup, service, or takedown.

Cancellations, Refunds & Rescheduling

  • 7+ days before your event — full refund (minus the $50 booking fee).
  • 4–6 days before — 50% refund of the $220 minimum purchase.
  • 3 days or less — no refund.
  • The $50 booking fee is non-refundable in all cases.
  • Rescheduling: Requests made at least 7 days in advance can be accommodated based on availability.
  • Weather or unsafe travel: Events may be rescheduled without penalty in unsafe conditions.

Warranty

Your permanent jewelry is designed to last — but life happens.
I offer a 30-day warranty on all welds:

  • If your weld fails within 30 days, I’ll reattach it at no charge if you visit my location (you must bring the original chain and provide photos of the failed weld).
    • If you can’t visit in person, I’ll provide a $10 refund to use toward reattachment at another studio.
    • If your chain is lost, I’ll provide a 50% refund of the original purchase price (this is done on the honor system - please don't abuse it).
  • No refunds are issued for stretched or broken chains caused by wear, pulling, or improper care.

Jewelry Care

Even though your permanent jewelry is designed to last, it’s still delicate and should be treated with care.

  • The welds are strong, but the chains can break if caught on clothing, tugged, or pulled.
  • Some chain styles may stretch slightly over time, which can cause looseness or slipping.
  • Be mindful around pets and young children who may grab or pull on jewelry.
  • Take care when dressing or removing clothing to avoid snagging.
  • Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaning, or excessive pressure on your jewelry.

In Summary

Permanent jewelry is a lasting luxury — a reminder of connection, intention, or simply something beautiful made to stay with you.
These guidelines ensure every appointment is safe, seamless, and built to last.
