Jewelry rooted in the balance of past and present.

Modeco is an independent, woman-owned jewelry line created and crafted by hand—one piece at a time. Every piece is designed and created by Shelby Evans in Portland, Oregon—blending clean, modern forms with echoes of ancient design.

The name says it all: Modeco = Modern + Echoes.

It’s a reflection of the brand’s design ethos—timeless silhouettes shaped by history, architecture, and art. A name that stands for lasting style. It’s about honoring the past while living in the present. Intentional,
thoughtful design meant to connect you to something deeper than a trend.

Crafted in small batches using recycled metals and ethical stones, each piece is built with care to be worn often and kept for good.

This is jewelry that moves with you—through seasons, stories, and every version of yourself.

The person behind the brand

Hi, I'm Shelby - a self-taught jeweler creating modern heirlooms with heart. Inspired by art, travel, and everyday moments, I craft each piece to be worn often—and kept forever.

My journey with jewelry started young, with beads and wire wrapping at twelve, and self-taught silversmithing by seventeen. After a long break, I returned to the bench in 2020. What brought me back was more than creativity—it was the need for something grounding, tactile, and lasting.

That feeling still shapes everything I create today: jewelry that’s grounded, intentional, and made to last.

When I'm not at the bench or sketching new designs, you’ll find me exploring Portland’s food and drink scene, enjoying long walks, or catching up with friends and family.
